Privacy policy

OpenSurveys.org is a public survey site open to all users who are interested in taking or creating surveys. All data for OpenSurveys.org - including account details, survey questions and survey responses - are stored on our secure server, however data you enter into the site will be provided to others in the following situations:

  1. If you are taking a survey, your responses will be visible to the person or organisation who created the survey. Along with the answers you submit, they will also receive your IP address and the name of your browser in order that they can filter out duplicate responses if they wish to, as well as how long you took to answer each question.
  2. If the creator of the survey has opted to make the responses public, your results will also be visible to other people.
  3. If you have taken a survey that required you to log in to the OpenSurveys.org site, your account information will not be shared with the survey creator. You will be indistinguishable from someone who has not logged into the site.

  4. If you have created a survey, your OpenSurveys.org account details are never revealed to others. We recommend that you do not share accounts with others unless you trust them completely.
